Trish Sullivan

Midwife

“I am passionate about supporting women and believe birth is a rite of passage that has the power to transform our community.”

I believe that all women, their families have an intrinsic right to dignity and that birth is a human right that should be protected. I am devoted to ensuring women are supported in their own empowerment and self efficacy throughout their journey.

My midwifery passion is centred in trauma informed care and I strive to defend the rights of women and their babies. I am excited to be part of a team that uses a holistic approach, as I believe the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of a woman are interconnected. I have a deep connection to women’s stories and feel profoundly honoured to walk alongside them. I trained in continuity of care with a private practice midwife and I have worked for Monash Health at Dandenong and Casey Hospitals in Victoria before starting full time at New Life in early 2021.

I have 6 children of my own and experienced an empowering VBAC with a private midwife, which led me to the beauty and power of continuity of care. I have also experienced many early births and feel deeply about honouring loss for all women.
