Midwife

“Striving to provide kind, safe and empowering care to all who are birthing and their families.”

My midwifery calling began when I was eight. I fell in love with the idea of being a midwife when my mum was pregnant with my younger brother. The experience of going to all of the appointments, antenatal classes and watching birth videos of empowered women birthing at home; fostered a deeper connection between my mum and I. Since this time I have been drawn to the idea of the woman/midwife partnership, walking alongside each other to usher in a new season of life.

As I grow and develop my midwifery practice I have become particularly passionate about providing safe and holistic care for those with diverse family structures. To value the importance of supporting these families who are often marginalised. And it is a privilege to be present for such a transformative time in a community.

I completed most of my student placement at New Life Midwifery, which saw my passion for continuity of care and informed decision making blossom. From the moment I walked into the clinic and met the midwives I knew this was my dream. Here, I gained 2 years of experience attending homebirths and became particularly fond of water births. Following graduation, I worked in Roma Hospital’s MGP, working in continuity of care, and experienced the immense joys and unique challenges of working rurally. Before making my way back to New Life Midwifery in early 2023.
