Wendy Redshaw

I first came to live in Ipswich in 1984, when I began my midwifery studies at the local maternity hospital.  It is here that I met and eventually married Stewart, the love of my life, and in this city we have together raised 4 children of our own.

Having been a midwife for many years, I first became involved in providing continuity of midwifery care to Ipswich women and their families in October 2007, as one of the founding members of the Ipswich Hospital’s Birth and Beyond Midwifery Group Practice.  In 2014, I began offering private midwifery services to local women, with the aim of offering one on one midwifery care using a holistic, women centred approach.  In early 2016, I was delighted to join with the wonderful and passionate team from New Life Midwifery.

My priority is the provision of high quality personalised midwifery care to expectant Mums and their families, with respect and compassion. Underpinning that priority is my belief that babies are amazing, and that every single one is unique and special. I feel enormously privileged to have been given so many opportunities to share in that wonder of life revealed when a child is born.
