My passion for birth, breastfeeding and the sanctity that is motherhood was ignited with the arrival of my own children and has grown ever since.

I love being with and around women at this very special time of their life, which I have been able to through my roles as a counsellor for the Australian Breastfeeding Association, Doula, HypnoBirthing practitioner and a Lactation Consultant, and since 2017 also as a Midwife.

My background before midwifery was in biology and zoology, with a special interest in physiology. This has definitely influenced my view on birth as a natural physiological process.

As a Midwife I’ve worked at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital for a few years before joining New Life in 2021. By joining the wonderful Midwives at New Life I have come ‘home’, as I was very fortunate to do my student placement with them as well.

I’m very excited about coming back to what is the “gold standard” of maternity care – midwifery continuity of care. It is a great privilege to be able to follow women and their families on the journey of pregnancy, birth and early parenthood.
