Midwifery has always been my passion, and I have been privileged to  work with women as they have walked their birthing journeys for over 35 years.

Originally from England, being a midwife enabled me to immigrate into Australia with my husband and 2 young children in 1990. A new country and totally new systems to adapt to –  from the Royal Women’s tertiary birth suite, to establishing a midwifery group practice at Ipswich Hospital in 2007 and finally being a founding member of one of the first private midwifery practices with Medicare provider access in 2010

I believe women benefit from knowing their midwife, being cared for in an environment where they feel safe and supported, and being fully informed and respected in their choices. Moving into private practice was an exciting and rewarding challenge.  It has enabled me to work with many amazing midwives and other health professionals to create a unique, personalised and holistic maternity service for women, babies and their families.
